Tips > Sit Still!

q

Kids are often told to sit still.

Photographers need to sit still, too.

Try staying in one place for an hour (an hour!).

If you're in NYC:

• The atrium at the old IBM building

• A bench in Battery Park

• Lobby of a museum

• Carousel in Central Park or Prospect Park

• Railing in the entryway for Toys-R-Us in Times Square

• Or ?

Turn off your cell and Blackberry.

Observe.

Photograph.

You'll be surprised at what you see, and would have missed, had you walked through the space.
