Computer technology changes rapidly.
The ubiquitous USB port will someday be obsolete.
You’ll have to migrate files from USB flash drives to the latest memory media.
If you have files on CDs or DVDs, consider migrating them to your hard drive, external hard drive, and/or to online storage.
There are three reasons to do so.
1) The dyes used in CDs and DVDs fade.
2) Discs can suffer mechanical damage and other woes.
3) Technology changes.
You’ll buy a computer someday that doesn't have the software or hardware to play discs.
