You can mix your own colors.
Here are some examples of colors.
| Dark Red | Goldenrod | Dark Olive Green | Light Sky Blue | ||||
| Red | 139 | 218 | 85 | 135 | |||
| Green | 0 | 165 | 107 | 206 | |||
| Blue | 0 | 32 | 47 | 250 |
Enter the values in the Color Picker window.
If you haven't already done so, go to Color Picking.
For more colors, go to Color Samples.
If you want to make a color lighter, increase each number by the same amount.
For example, 20 was added to the red, blue, and green values for Steel Blue, to make a lighter version of the color.
To make a color darker, decrease each number by the same amount.
Here, 20 was subtracted from the red, blue, and green values for Steel Blue, to make a darker version of the color.
| Lighter Version | Steel Blue | Darker Version | |||
| Red | 90 | 70 | 50 | ||
| Green | 150 | 130 | 110 | ||
| Blue | 200 | 180 | 160 |
To change a color, add or subtract from one or two of the numbers.
For example, Steel Blue was made more aqua by adding 40 green.
30 Red was added to make it more purple.
| Green Added | Steel Blue | Red Added | |||
| Red | 70 | 70 | 100 | ||
| Green | 170 | 130 | 130 | ||
| Blue | 180 | 180 | 180 |
You can use the Color Picker to choose colors, as well.
With it, you can change the saturation of a color, too.
If you haven't already done so, go to Color Picking.
The next section described how you can create lith prints and albumen prints with Photoshop Elements.
