Two methods are described for increasing the color saturation of the irises.

2) Select a soft edged brush, and a size of, say, 10px.
If you haven't already done so, go to Brushes - Basics.
3) Make sure the Mode is set to Saturate.
3) Click, hold, and drag the brush on each iris.
As you do so, repeatedly, the color will become more vibrant.
Avoid increasing the saturation of the catch light, the reflection of light sources in the eye.

Increased Saturation on the Iris with Sponge Tool
1) Select the Selection Brush tool.
2) Make sure the Add to selection button, in the options bar, is selected.
3) Select the outer edge of the iris.
4) Position the brush over the pupil, and adjust the brush to match the size of the pupil.
Press and hold Alt, and click.
5) Create a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer.
Click the Create adjustment layer icon, the half-dark, half-bright, circle at the top of the Layers palette, and select Hue/Saturation.
The Hue/Saturation window will open.
Move the Saturation slider to the right.
+50 was used here.
If you need to make further adjustments, double click the Hue/Saturation window thumbnail in the Hue/Saturation adjustment layer to reopen the Hue/Saturation window.
