Photoshop Elements: Split Toning, Tips: Passage of Time & Organize Your Photographs (Revised)
Do the following to open a file from the Organizer.
1) Open Photoshop Elements and go to the Organizer.
2) Select the photograph you want to edit by clicking on its thumbnail.
3) Do one of the following.
• Press Ctrl + i to open the photograph in Full Edit.
• Right click on the thumbnail, and select Quick Fix or Full Edit.
Thumbnails of your files are located in the Organizer.
The actual files are not located in the Organizer.
Rather, they're located in My Pictures (XP & Windows 7) or Pictures (Vista), or somewhere else on your hard drive.
You can use the Organizer to find out where a file is located.
Right click a thumbnail, and look in the Properties bin (Properties palette) on the right side of your screen.
If that panel (palette) isn't there, go to Window > Properties.
If the Properties panel (Properties palette) is there, but not expanded, click the small white triangle (Pre-8.0), or click to the right of its name (8.0).
Look for the yellow folder with a blue arrow.
Click it to go to your file.
If you select a thumbnail, and go to Edit > Delete from Catalogue and click OK, the thumbnail is deleted from the Organizer.
The file is not deleted from My Pictures or Pictures.
However, if you select Also delete selected item(s) from the hard disk in the Delete window, then the file will also be deleted from My Pictures or Pictures.
