Create an Adjustment Layer

If you're not familiar with adjustment layers, go to Adjustment Layers and Levels.

6.0 & 7.0

To create an adjustment layer, click the Create adjustment layer icon.

The Create adjustment layer icon is located at the top of the Layers palette.

The icon looks is a half black, half white, circle.

A menu will open.

Select the adjustment layer that you need.

After making adjustments, click OK.

Reopening the Adjustment Layer

To reopen the layer, double click the icon in the layer.

To create an adjustment layer, click the Create adjustment layer icon.

The Create adjustment layer icon is located at the bottom of the Layers panel.

The icon looks is a half black, half white, circle.

A menu will open.

Select the adjustment layer that you need.

The adjustment layer appears in the Adjustments panel.

Unlike earlier versions of Photoshop Elements, the adjustment layer is always open in the Adjustments panel.

You don't have to:

• Click OK.

• Double click the adjustment layer thumbnail to reopen the adjustment layer window.
