Color Picking /

1- Introduction

You need to pick colors, such as when you change the foreground and background colors from their default black and white.

You use the Eyedropper tool to Color Picking.

The default setting for the tool is to sample an area the size of a pixel.

Point Sample is the most used setting.

You can set the tool to average the color of larger areas.

If you change the setting from Point Sample, the Magic Wand tool setting also changes.

Where Do You Get the Colors?

There are three main sources for colors.

1) Color Picker

2) Color Swatches

3) Anything that's on your screen
