Tips: Skyline Photography
To change a dimension of the image, enter the new size in the width or height boxes.
Here's the size of the original photograph.
1) Enter 5 into the width box.
The program automatically changed the height to 3.324 inches.
That's because the Constrain Proportions was checked.
The resolution stayed at 300 ppi because the Resample Image box was checked.
On the following pages, we'll experiment by unchecking Constrain Proportions and Resample Image.
2) Click OK in the Image Size window after you've entered a new dimension.
3) Then, click Save.
4) Photoshop Elements will present you with the Save As window.
You can rename the photograph if you wish.
5) Click Save, and the JPEG Options window below will appear.
6) Select the quality level for the photograph, and click OK.
0 is the lowest quality level, and 12 is the highest.
Go to JPEG Quality.
As mentioned, let's experiment by deselecting the Resample Image box, and then the Constrain Proportions box.
