Jim's Batch Processing Scripts

Photoshop Elements does limited batch processing.

If you haven't already, go to Batch Processing.

If you use a Windows computer, you can use scripts to automate Photoshop Elements.

Scripts

Scripts are a list of instructions that Photoshop Elements can understand.

To use a script, you run it.

A program is need to run a scripts.

AutoHotkey

AutoHotkey is a free program that runs scripts.

Go to About AutoHotkey.

Windows Only

As mentioned, the scripts below only run on Windows computers.

Jim's Batch Processing Scripts

There are fthree script types.

#1 - Add Essential Layers Automatically

Open a file.

Then, run this script.

The script creates:

• A background copy layer.

• A Levels adjustment layer.

• Three overlay layers for  burning and dodging.

Go to Add Essential Layers Automatically.

#2 - Save Many PSDs & JPEGs at Once

You can save numerous files with a double click.

The scripts only work with files that have more than one layer.

For example, you created Background copy layers.

The scripts are for files that haven't been saved in Photoshop Elements already.

Go to Save Many PSDs & JPEGs at Once.

#3 - Save Many Processed Raw Files at Once

If you processed many raw files, you can save the files all at once.

Go to Save Many Processed Raw Files at Once.

#4 - Batch Processing Editing Scripts

You can set the scripts to do:

• Resize

• Levels

• Photo Filter 80 (Cooling)

• Photo Filter 81 (Warming)

• Last Filter Used

• Dust & Scratches

• Sharpening
