Window Manipulation

You'll learn how to manipulate windows below.

Windows

The Window Is Hiding Everything Else

Let's say a window is filling the screen.

You would like to see other windows.

So, you need to make the window smaller.

Do the following.

Click the Restore Down button.

The Restore Down button is the middle button in the upper-right corner of the window.

The icon looks like a rectangle.

The Window Is Too Big

If a window is too big, do the following.

1) Position the cursor over a corner of the window.

2) The cursor will change to a double arrow.

3) Click and hold down the left mouse button, and drag (move the mouse) the corner inward.

The Window Is Blocking the Other Window

If a window is blocking another window, you can move the offending window.

Do the following.

1) Position the cursor over the top-most band of color at the top of the window.

2) Click and hold down the left mouse button, and drag (move the mouse) the window.

I Can't See My Photographs

If you don't see thumbnails, small versions of your photographs, do the following.

1) Right click on a white area inside the window.

2) Go to View > Large icons.

Click the green button.

The green button is located in the upper-left corner of the window.

The Window Is Too Big

If a window is too big, do the following.

1) Position the cursor over a corner of the window.

2) Click and hold down the left mouse button, and drag (move the mouse) the corner inward.

The Window Is Blocking the Other Window

If a window is blocking another window, you can move the offending window.

Do the following.

1) Position the cursor over the top-most band of color at the top of the window.

2) Click and hold down the left mouse button, and drag (move the mouse) the window.

I Can't See My Photographs

If you don't see thumbnails, small versions of your photographs, do the following.

View Buttons: Thumbnails, List, Columns

1) Look at the top of the window for the above buttons.

2) Click the first button.

You can change the size of the thumbnails by moving the slider in the lower-right corner of the window.
