How to Move Photographs

Picasa was discontinued by Google.

However, students may still be using the program.

Open the Flash Drive

1) Insert the flash drive into a USB port on your computer.


2) Open Picasa.

3) On the left side of the screen, find the library containing the photographs you want to copy to the flash drive.

4) Select the photographs that you want to show in class.

If you're not familiar with selecting thumbnails, go to How to Select Thumbnails.

5) Go to File > Export Picture to Folder.

6) Click Browse in the Export to Folder window and navigate to your flash drive.

7) Enter a folder name, such as Assignment 1, in the Name of exported folder box.

A folder with this name will be created on your flash drive when the photographs are exported.

8) In the Image size section, select Use original size.

9) In the Image quality section, select Maximum.

10) Click Export.

Your photographs are copied onto the flash drive.

Eject the Flash Drive

Do the following.

a) Press the Windows key (flag icon) + e.

b) Look for the flash drive on the bottom left corner of the window.

c) Right click on it and select Eject.

A Safe to Remove Hardware window will pop up in the lower-right corner of your screen.

d) Unplug the flash drive.
